Payment Assurance decreases the time spent sending invoices and increases the amount collected from your patients after their visit. Phreesia will email the patient their outstanding balance, reminding them of the amount owed and enabling them to cancel their payment if needed. If the patient does not cancel the payment by the date listed in the email, Phreesia will automatically collect the payment using the patient’s card on file on the payment date. If they cancel the payment, Phreesia will not automatically collect the payment, and the patient will receive an email payment reminder. Payments collected will post directly to your PM system, informing staff not to send any paper statements for that amount. Payment Assurance complements your practice’s current statement solution (paper, e-statements, etc.) and aims to reduce the number of statements needing to be sent, as well as speeding up the collection times for these balances.
In order to be able to charge a patient using Payment Assurance, they must have a valid card on file and a card on file agreement. For more information on Phreesia’s Card on File, please click here.
